I am SPR planning to sell my house which I bought from re-sale market.

As I was going through the sellers checklist. I found a clause under "Next housing and financial plans"

"Sellers are not eligible to apply for a HDB Rental flat for 30 months after the sale of their existing flat"

Does this mean I cannot get HDB rental flat from open market. Pls confirm.

Appreciate, if somebody could respond immediately..

Good morning seller,

It means that you cant rent subsidised rental flats directly from HDB which are meant for lower income family etc.

Morning,

It means you cannot rent directly from hdb, a subsidized rental flat at below market rates. These are set aside for disadvantaged households with genuine financial difficulties. After selling, you are allowed to rent from the open market no issue.

The clause refers to the rental of subsidized rental unit where application are made directly to HDB. Rental units from open market is not affected by this clause.

May I ask whether you need help in the sale of your existing flat. Selling a HDB flat can present a problem to even a new RES (agent). Being a DIY for the 1st time, it can be a daunting experience.

please clarify :

Are you selling a HOUSE ( one that sits on a piece of land) ?
Or
Are you selling a HDB flat ?
Or
Are you selling a private Condo unit /Apartment unit ?

I am sorry but I get very confused when HOUSE is used to mean ALL kinds of dwellings, when it is not.
